It is an honour and a privilege to be the President of the York Sunbury Historical Society. We have an incredible team of enthusiastic museologists, guided by a highly educated Board of Directors and greatly supported by a collection of dedicated volunteers.
We look forward to welcoming all visitors to our eclectic and interesting exhibit displays honoring New Brunswick’s past, present, and future, as and when the present public health restrictions are lifted.
Much of what you will see in the Fredericton Region Museum is about our rich heritage and how the City of Fredericton has grown and prospered. Come for a visit, and you will see for yourself why it has always been that way.
Inside this newsletter you will read about exciting new developments at the museum and of our partnerships with federal, provincial and municipal funders that have led to new exhibits, programming and improvements to our collections.
I’d like to draw special attention to the City of Fredericton for its generous support of the Museum’s operations as well as our heritage, arts and cultural programs. City staff, from Building Services to Tourism, go above and beyond the call of duty and we can’t thank them enough for their kindness and true professionalism in everything they do for the Museum.
I’d also like to acknowledge the support of our staff, volunteers and members of the Board who have worked incredibly hard to keep the museum safe and open for visitors these last 18 months since the onset of Covid.
