Carle [sic] McKnight drowned Dec. 24-36 (skating on river)
Mrs. Fred Pond died Dec 24-36, Effie came home
from St. Paul. Minn.[sic]
Xmas. 1936 [sic] very pleasant day, no snow.
Flod [sic] & Walt. came down to dinner with us.
Dec. 31-36 very mild with rain & in the a.m.
very, very icy & no snow, children skating on
sidewalks & roads.
Jan 1st 1937. New Years Day, just like spring
no snow, very mild at 6:30 a.m. continuing
throughout the day.
Jan. 18-39 Weather continues very mild, lots of rain
