July 19, 2009:  “I am a descendant of George King, MD who practiced medicine in Bouchtouche in the early 1900′s. He has six children, one of whom , George King, was a missionary in China. I had heard that he had turned over many of his papers to a museum or library in Fredericton. Two requests: do you have anything that matches that description? Also, any idea what Dr. King’s office/home address was in Bouchtouche?”

July 20, 2009:  “If we had the King papers they would be listed in our MC300 files found at the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick.  Other than that I would check the Harriet Irving Library Archives on the University of New Brunswick campus.  As for Dr. King’s office/home in Bouctouche, I have no idea.  I don’t know Bouctouche very well.  Sorry.  Good luck with your research!  ~Ruth”

September 15, 2009:  “I was in Bouchtouche recently and visited the Presbyterian church.  My great grandfather was a minister of the old church.  His name is Jack.  I’ll try to get some more information about my ties to Bouchtouche.

I have an old photograph of a train coming across the bridge into Bouchtouce.  It was called the “Tri daily” – not because it came three times a day, but because every time it came, it tried.  I’ll try to make a copy and send it up.  I also have some old photographs of Rev. Jack which I’ll try to have copied and set up.  Thank you so much for your interest.”
