Beginning Tuesday, March 1, visitor hours will change at the Fredericton Region Museum, formerly the York Sunbury Museum. At that time, the Museum will be closed Sundays and Mondays throughout the spring and will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays. The office will be open Monday through Friday for the regular weekday hours, which are 9am to 5pm.
The Museum’s spring schedule will remain in effect through June 30. Effective Friday, July 1, the summer schedule will be Sundays through Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
The Fredericton Region Museum is located in Officers’ Square, Fredericton. Admission is charged. There is no charge for children under 6 years, Adults are $5, Students $2 (with valid ID) and Families (2 adults and their children under 18 years) $10. York Sunbury Historical Society members and Corporate Benefactors receive free admission with valid ID.
Word of warning! The Museum is a cool place to visit during the cold months! Quite literally! The building is a national and provincial historic site and is uninsulated and unheated during the colder months! So dress warmly, it’s worth the visit!
